Latest version (2.0.0 October 24 2023)

The latest stable release of the Raygun APM Agent and profiler is recommended and includes the latest features and improvements.

  • Changed sampling behaviour to be consistent when multiple processes send data using the same Raygun API key.

  • APM no longer stores query string information for Ruby and Node requests
  • The "rgc -status" output now specifies that it looks for the .NET profiler, and only prints that message when appropriate

  • Improved the upgrade procedure for the APM. The profiler DLL is now referenced through a symbolic link which will allow us to automatically swap the profiler DLL version to a new one without re-registering your applications.

  • Fixed the issue where application sampling and other settings may not apply in case of APM not detecting application process type correctly.
  • Resolved a rare issue with .NET profiler crashes when profiling certain methods.

  • Improving Agent memory controls. Before this version under high load Agent could throw OutOfMemoryException and stop working. Now the situation should improve and Agent should continue to work correctly. If the Agent can't keep up with the amount of traffic it is getting, some of the traffic will be dropped which could result in gaps in APM reporting.

  • Added more logging to sampling and UDP command reciever to help us troubleshoot customer issues.

This release has bug fixes and small UI improvements for the APM Configuration Tool.

This release includes a new feature that automatically blacklists insignificant method calls in traces, helping to improve performance of the profiler and agent.
