Meet the presenters

John-Daniel Trask

Chief Executive Officer at Raygun

I’ve always wanted to live at the intersection of technology and business, ever since we got our first family PC when I was 9 years old. To me, discovering software development was finding a Lego set with unlimited bricks - I could build anything, as long as I could solve the problems. I spend my time at Raygun helping build the team, talking with customers and helping set the direction of the business. I love coming to work with so many passionate people who are helping our customers build truly amazing software experiences. Hearing how customers resolve issues and improved performance because of the work we do is incredibly satisfying.

Patrick Smacchia

Founder & CEO at NDepend

Patrick's programming journey began in the 1980s when he started coding on 8-bit computers as a child. This early passion led him to pursue degrees in Mathematics and Software Engineering. After spending a decade working as a C++ developer and consultant, he became intrigued by the emerging .NET platform in 2002. He went on to author a best-selling book on .NET and C#, published by O'Reilly in French, and also taught academic and professional courses on the platform.

Over time, Patrick developed a keen interest in the structure and evolution of large, complex real-world applications, focusing on best practices for enhancing software maintainability. This passion led him to delve into static code analysis, and in 2004, he founded the NDepend project, specializing in .NET and C# code analysis.

After two decades of continuous improvement and staying aligned with the latest .NET and C# releases,, NDepend has become a popular tool used worldwide, helping professionals in maintaining the highest standards of .NET code architecture, quality and security.
