With iOS crash reporting, Raygun becomes only crash reporting service to service all platforms.

Wellington, NZ January 14, 2014 – Software error & crash tracking service Raygun.com today announced the release of native iOS crash reporting, helping mobile developers everywhere provide healthier software for their users.

The announcement of iOS crash reporting capabilities rounds out Raygun’s support for all major mobile platforms: iOS, Android, Windows Phone and the Xamarin stack. Raygun is now the only crash reporting solution that has fully supported solutions for every major programming language and platform, with more than 15 languages and platforms supported, covering web, desktop and mobile platforms.

Mindscape, the company behind Raygun, released the popular error reporting service in early 2013 with the aim of improving software quality by creating the best error tracking tool for every developer – regardless of which programming language or platform they work with.

“With the addition of iOS crash reporting support, Raygun is now the best tool in the market for supporting multi-platform software” said Mindscape co-founder & CEO, John-Daniel Trask. “Gone are the days when software systems were simple enough to be written for one platform. Any significantly advanced mobile product will communicate with a hosted service written on an entirely different stack. If you’re only tracking errors in the mobile client then you’re already sunk – you need a solution that works with how software is actually architected today.”

The iOS provider is as easy to use as Raygun’s other providers - developers add a small component to their app, which intercepts crashes on mobile devices with no further user input necessary. The crash data is then transmitted to the cloud-hosted Raygun service automatically. Noteworthy of the iOS crash reporting provider is its automatic symbolication abilities – turning gibberish memory addresses and unintelligible crash dumps into human readable stack traces – shining a light on exactly where the crash came from.

iOS crash reporting, along with all other languages and platform supported, can be experienced immediately with the Raygun free trial at http://raygun.com

Raygun tracks millions of errors per hour and monitors the software experience of more than 150 million end users every day.
