September Launch Notes: RUM on Heroku, APM for Ruby, and more
Posted Oct 12, 2020 | 3 min. (499 words)Raygun’s Launch Notes are your regular round-up of all the improvements we made to Raygun last month — from significant features to performance updates.
Real User Monitoring
Gain actionable insights with XHR-level detail for response codes
In April of this year, we announced that Raygun Real User Monitoring can now surface analytics into the response codes from XHR calls. In this latest release, we’ve added XHR level detail to the response codes tab in RUM. Now, you can see the XHRs causing a particular response code.
Real User Monitoring is now available on Heroku!
Exciting news for our Heroku community — we’ve just launched a free Real User Monitoring plan on the Heroku Marketplace. Now, you can monitor performance trends, identify and diagnose performance problems, and improve your customers’ experience, directly through your Heroku account.
APM
GA of Ruby support for Raygun APM
We’re excited to announce the next chapter in Ruby application performance monitoring.
Ruby teams now get access to actionable, code-level diagnostics, our unique issue creation engine, precise method-level timings, and a whole lot more. Discover and diagnose performance bottlenecks in a fraction of the time — and for a fraction of the cost.
We want you! APM for Node.js beta testers
We’ve spent the last couple of months working closely with our early adopters to build the best developer-focused APM product for Node.js. We’ve been rolling out plenty of improvements based on early feedback, and would love for you to join our next group of beta testers.
Please register your interest and you’ll be added to our exclusive beta group on Slack where you will have direct access to the Raygun product and engineering teams.
Crash Reporting
Sourcemaps: how we scaled Raygun’s architecture to handle more data
We identified the source mapping process as an area ripe for performance improvement, so we took it apart and looked at exciting ways to build it from the ground-up using cutting-edge tech. Our key objectives were: horizontal scalability, blazingly fast processing rates and easy observability.
General Updates
Bulk add team members and applications when creating or editing your Teams
We’ve recently added the ability to select multiple team members and applications when you are creating or editing your teams. This UI update is especially handy for large organisations to more efficiently manage their teams within Raygun. Thanks Matthijs for this great UI suggestion!
Try it now by navigating to your plan settings page and click on “Teams”.
How to configure and track deployments, identify issues, and measure performance optimizations
Go beyond error monitoring and see first-hand how the experts from Octopus Deploy and Raygun seamlessly configure deployments, identify and resolve issues, and measure performance optimizations in real-time.
That’s a wrap!
You’re all up to date with the changes to the Raygun Platform.
Happy coding!
