JavaScript error tracking improvements: Bower, ajax + more
Posted Dec 19, 2013 | 2 min. (219 words)Christmas has come early for web developers using Raygun! The official JavaScript provider has received a bunch of updates this week, just in time for the festive season. Recently we’ve had a couple of requests to add Bower package support, and as we’re big fans of well-defined package management and repeatable builds, we listened and implemented it for you post-haste.
You can grab the latest version now by running bower install raygun4js
. This means all our major providers are now available from their language’s main package manager. In addition, the JavaScript provider has received a smattering of other updates. Here’s the changelog for the new v1.5.2:
- Add Bower package support.
- Data submitted by jQuery AJAX calls is captured.
- Improved IE8 support.
- Updated Tracekit dependency.
Grab these changes using the new package system as above, or if you’re using a manual workflow the dev and production versions are available from GitHub.
Thanks
Nearly all of the improvements that we’ve made here have come as suggestions from you, our users. Thanks for helping make Raygun better for everyone by being part of the community 🙂
