Meet Daniel – Another Raygunner joins the team!

Hi! Daniel here, Raygun’s newest developer, although apparently that title doesn’t last too long! I like exclamation marks, photos and building awesome things.

I started programming when I was 12. I came home from school one day and asked dad how to make programs, as you do, right? He very kindly got me the “Visual Basic For Kids” book and helped me through the basics – I was hooked. There’s nothing quite like building something from scratch that makes someone’s life easier.

Big data and big scale excite me. Nothing like some big numbers to make your day interesting, so joining the Raygun team was an easy choice. We deal with large volumes of data every hour and have to turn it into something that’s actually useful and makes a software developer’s life way more productive.

When I’m not in front of a computer or under a car covered in oil, I can be found running around late at night with a camera and tripod taking photos of the night sky. There’s seriously nothing cooler than being in the middle of nowhere surrounded by millions of stars and only the warm ticking of the car cooling down. Except when sheep sneak up on you – that was not so fun when I realised what was happening!

I’m really looking forward to building some great new features for the Raygun product. – That’s it for now. Until next time!
