This is a user "quality of life" improvement suggestion and I did not see it mentioned. If it was, my apologies.

When you select all users and try to email them, a list of user accounts separated by a comma (,) is generated instead of a semicolon (;). According to this Stack Overflow answer (and RFC 6068), this functionality is the standard. I am proposing a way to overwrite this in one of a couple different places:

  1. In My Settings > General Settings
  2. On a per-application basis in Application Settings > General Settings
  3. On a global basis in a new Global Settings section (preferred)
  4. A combination of items 2 and 3 where the per-application setting would take priority over the global setting, when different.

Not sure how much work Option 4 would be for the team but I think this would be the most flexible option. Since my default email client is Outlook, this can be a little annoying (see this answer for the same question mentioned above). It's trivial to do a text replace but it just adds another step to the process of contacting affected users.

Hi,

Is it possible for you to enable the comma delimiter in Outlook?

Here are two articles about this option:

https://www.extendoffice.com/documents/outlook/1649-outlook-allow-comma-as-address-separator.html

https://www.lifewire.com/commas-to-separate-email-recipients-1173680

Let me know if either of those solve this issue for you.

Regards,
Alex

TIL you can have both comma and semi-colon email separators working in harmony together. You can close this request. Thanks for the tip!
