Feature Request
Filter old versions
Current Status:
Completed

We use Raygun for a mix of web, desktop and mobile applications. For web, our servers usually run pretty recent versions. Mobile users are normally upgraded automatically, so also pretty much running the latest versions. However, for desktop applications our users can everything from 5 year old versions to the latest, depending on their license.
For our desktop applications, using Raygun is tedious because:
- We get email notifications and daily statistics for all errors, not just the errors for the versions we are still actively maintaining. The issues we care about drown in the spam.
- The email notification does not say what version the error occurred on ( https://raygun.io/thinktank/suggestion/22002 )
Suggestion:
- Add a per-app setting to filter all versions less than X
Expected behavior:
- Dashboard defaults to the same version filter (can override)
- Email notifications exclude versions below X
- Statistics exclude versions below X

Hi there,
Great news - we’ve just released a new feature for Crash Reporting called “Filtering”.?
With Filtering, you can now create criteria to ignore errors coming from a specific IP address, machine name, or created by/after a specific version. To make things simple, we’ve also included a quick list of the most requested filters for specific providers that you can simply toggle on and off as needed. With this feature, you can stop worrying about errors that you don’t care about (such as legacy versions) going against your company’s cap.
Filtering is a new feature available to all plans. Simply follow the instructions in our blog to get set up: https://raygun.com/blog/2016/08/feature-release-inbound-filters/
Please give it a try and let us know what you think :)
Regards,
Zheng from Raygun
