Agree that would be handy! One debate we have internally is how to handle instance-level info, on the roll-up alerts.
By that I mean:
- First instance gets reported, obviously saying the user would be easy here.
- Second alert (2, 5, 10, 30 minute alerts) are aggregates. Including the users would either be too much info, especially for high volume customers, but including the most recent user may be misleading at a glance.
So we'd err-ed away from including instance data in roll up alerts.
In the interests of trying to improve this however, I'd appreciate your thinking here as perhaps we're missing something obvious!
P.S. We are in the process of starting to overhaul our alerting, including bringing more control and rules and expanding that across all our products. It's early days in the development so no promise of timelines, but these discussions are hugely useful right now for informing the longer term plans! :)
