Inconsistent missing error details

We are experiencing inconsistencies with the body of the received emails. Roughly half of the email notifications we receive do not contain any details about the exception and only contains the message. The other half contain the message, stacktrace, version, and tags. Depending on how long we wait to click on the link, the exception will display all of the data we expect to see. Other times, we receive a notification that the system has not finished processing the exception. I do not see a pattern on where the exception is being generated within our application (.net and javascript both exhibit the pattern). Not sure what other information would be useful to provide.

Hi Kim,

We only provide specific details in the first sighting email. The reason for this is because if when we do a follow up, say after 2 minutes, it might be before 1,000 occurrences. Including all affected users, or only the latest one, either makes the email too big, or makes it look like it's only happened once (even though we do set the subject line to say the count).

We only recently added extra details to the first sighting email, and very much appreciate the feedback. Given the reasoning here, I'd love to hear your thoughts!

I hope that helps,

John-Daniel,

Thank you for getting back to me. That makes sense now that I understand the difference.
