I am trying to apply a filter but are not able to - the "apply filter" btw is inactive. Is this a bug or is it some UX I don't get ?

Hi Michael,

That popup has an autocomplete list on it - it won't let you filter on a value that doesn't exist, so the filter button will only be enabled if you select something from the autocompleter.

Hope that helps, Jamie

Ive experienced the same

the existence of any auto completer seems to me as a myth, the field i type my values in provides me me no such autocompletion.

Im on chrome now but i tried safari and firefox to no effect.

I chose "Tag" from the drop down and tried a valid value of "isMobile". I know it is valid because i fond it in the tag section of the JSON of a ticket, also because i fully set it up myself.

So i think this is a valid "bug" with the auto completer either not finding all possible values or simply not working - which causes the filter to not be usable as a roll on effect.

We're adding a warning message when your filter criteria don't match anything, so it's at least obvious why the button is disabled. Someone will swing by this thread when that's done. In the mean time I'll have a look at your account and see why that's not working for you Chris.

Cheers, Jamie

Hey Chris,

It looks like you're passing through a set of key value pairs as tags, but they should be an array of strings/dates/numbers. See here for more details: https://github.com/MindscapeHQ/raygun4php#adding-tags.

I think you're better off just adding the "isMobile" tag if isMobile is true rather than in all cases - all your tags seem to be booleans so just adding them when they're true would make it a lot easier to search on.

Cheers, Jamie

Hi all,

We've improved out filter UX by including a message indicating whether or not you will be able to apply the entered filter with it's label.

This should hopefully help explain why the "Apply" button is disabled at times.

It is also important to note that filter labels search according to string values.

Happy filtering!
