I recently tried to set some Tags in my error data, and was expecting to see a list of Tags on the Dashboard allowing me to instantly filter the list of errors. But nothing.... So I am at a loss, can someone explain the difference between Tags and User data? Is there any benefit of using one over the other? As it seems both only show in the Raw Details page.

Hi Mark,
You are right that neither of these data elements are displayed/used by the Raygun UI yet. The features are coming though! The new search feature allows you to perform searches over these elements as a first step towards them becoming first class elements within the UI. Stay tuned for more announcements regarding these data elements :)

Is there any time frame for when these enhancements to the UI will be available? IMHO the inability to filter large amounts of data based on Tags or User Data, or actually any field, is a huge oversight.

Hi Mark,
We're working on bringing through the whole app - to make filtering work more easily.
At present you can do a search on a field from the side bar. Just search for a tag name and you'll get a list of instances that have that tag. If you wish to search against just a tag, then you could search with something like this:
Tags:MyTagName
We have a bunch of UX improvements coming this week to add activity feeds, more consistent error information display etc. Following this we'll be adding a bunch of additions with regards to tagging and being able to more easily find information based on a value (We'll show the tags and have them clickable so you're not manually searching each time).
I really appreciate your feedback on this though, we're certainly trying to pump out releases quickly to improve the quality of the application constantly. Your feedback directly feeds back into the priorities we have on features.
Thanks!
