Search has come to Raygun!
Posted May 12, 2013 | 2 min. (229 words)Note that we have now moved the Search function to be inside Raygun Crash Reporting.
I’m pleased to announce that we’ve added search to Raygun – a popular feature request we’ve been working on for a while.
The search box
You can search from the side bar of any application you’re viewing. At present searching is scoped to an application.
Advanced searches
By default the search will look over all the data you’ve sent in your errors. That’s great but what about if you want to restrict to a single field? We’ve got you covered. You can search for any field that has been submitted.
Here’s an example of searching only for error instances that pertain to version XYZ
What’s shown and included
At present the search will give you a list of error instances – not groups. It also doesn’t include searching data such as comments you have made on error groups. It’s a good start but, like with everything in Raygun it’s getting constantly improved for you.
This feature is useful for larger data sets. With that in mind we’ve elected to make it available in our small, medium and large plans. If you don’t see a search box and need it you can upgrade from your account page. It is available on all trials.
I’d love to hear your feedback on using the search functionality. Enjoy!
