Have an option to filter out specific IP addresses

It would be super useful to have a way to filter out specific IP addresses so my dashboard isn't cluttered by masses of errors from the development process. Of course, having a way to increment versions and filter based on versions would also work (already saw that idea suggested).

I have a ton of errors from ".local" IPs which are clearly from development and don't affect the active product.

Hi,

That's great feedback. We'll look at how we could provide the setup wizard page in a way that's not tied to creating an app (perhaps part of the public website so everyone can see how easy it is to integrate Raygun on the various pages).

Thanks!

Couldn't this just be a special-case of http://raygun.io/thinktank/suggestion/818

?

Thought.

This would be nice for when a site undergoes a Nessus scan.

Couldn't you use another raygun api key for your development environment to solve this issue?

Hi everyone,

Great news - we’ve just released a new feature for Crash Reporting called “Filtering”.?

With Filtering, you can now create criteria to ignore errors coming from a specific IP address, machine name, or created by a specific version. To make things simple, we’ve also included a quick list of the most requested filters for specific providers that you can simply toggle on and off as needed. With this feature, you can stop worrying about errors that you don’t care about (such as traffic from specific IP addresses) going against your company’s cap.

Filtering is a new feature available to all plans. Simply follow the instructions in our blog to get set up: https://raygun.com/blog/2016/08/feature-release-inbound-filters/

Please give it a try and let us know what you think :)
