Overview

Understand your app performance at a glance

The Raygun APM overview page gives you full visibility into how your app is performing during a certain period, including:

The overview page is fully customisable

Click on the “Edit overview” button to resize/edit/add more tiles to this page.

Changes to the APM overview page will also be applied to everyone who have access to this app.

These tiles can also be added to your Raygun custom dashboards, so that you can view your APM, error and RUM data all in one place. You can find the APM specific tiles when you add a tile to an existing custom dashboard.

Execution speed of requests

The execution speed of requests tile shows you how fast your app is executing the requests from your users. The chart contains your average, median, p90 and p99 load time speed.

Average request breakdown

The average request breakdown tile shows the response time trend of your queries, methods and API calls of an average request.

Apdex trend

You can find the Apdex tile on the “Overview” page of Raygun APM. This tile gives you an indication of how satisfied your users are over time with the response time of your web applications and services.

Apdex (Application Performance Index) is an open standard that defines a standardized method to report, benchmark, and track application performance. Apdex scores help you benchmark user experience trends and identify poor user experience with your app.

The index is based on five bands of application responsiveness:

Excellent: 0.94 - 1
The user is fully productive and your users are not impeded by your application response time.

Good: 0.85 - 0.93
The user is generally productive and your users are not impeded by your application response time.

Fair: 0.70 - 0.84
The user notices some performance lagging, but continues the process.

Poor: 0.50 - 0.69
The user notices moderate amount of performance lagging, but continues the process.

Unacceptable: 0.0 - 0.49
The performance is unacceptable and the user may abandon the process.

Request per minute (RPM)

The PRM tile indicates the number of http "Requests per minute" being handled by your application. This gives you an idea of the volume of requests moving through the app and therefore context to understand how well various pieces or components of your app are handling that load.
